Debian Packaging and System Administration

Synopsis

Learn to package an application called Indic Anagram that was built using electron. Also learn to manage/administer at least one instance of Free Software application for the FSCI.

Benefits to Community

Debian Packaging

Indic Anagram is an anagram application for Indic languages. Packagaing this application for Debian will make it easier for people to install the application on all Debian-based Operating Systems.

System Administration

FSCI currently runs many instances of several Free Software applications. Help manage/administer any one instance for the community.

Deliverables

  • Package the Indic Anagram
  • Select and manage a FS application where support is required

Biographical Information

Free software enthusiast and technology practitioner with focus on social justice, the common good, and public interest. Have been contributing to free knowledge projects and localizing free software for many years. Have some experience of system administration on CentOS GNU/Linux server.
