Create website and sub domain
We can use this repo https://git.fosscommunity.in/fsfi/camp to host the website and use camp.fsf.org.in as domain.
- create sub domain camp.fsf.org.in fsfi#9 (closed) @abhas
- create a placeholder page @avron

To which IP shall I point
camp.fsf.org.in

We can use the same server as fsf.org.in for now I think (all websites can be migrated at same time to new server).
- Owner
I've done this.
I changed the NS records for fsf.org.in just now from Sify to our tinydns.in servers. In that process I forgot to save existing records that were already there in the Sify DNS servers.
I've added the A & MX records from cache right now... Please tell me if any other DNS records might be missing.

I think it'd be fine to add a credits section to mention everyone contributing the the camp, website and other contributions.

@praveen do you think it would better to host the website in a different repo? I think as the site grows the issues related to the website as they come up and the issues related to organizing the event might clash and cause unnecessary clutter.
- Author
I think it'd be fine. We can use labels to filter issues if required.

@praveen Do you think the repo where we organize the event and the repo where we host the website should be separate? As the website grows it will have it's own issues and tasks. I think it's best to make a seperate repo for the website and use this repo to organise and document the event. What do you say?

@avron I don't think we need to over engineer things. We use this pattern in most other websites, for example poddery.com

host camp.fsf.org.in Host camp.fsf.org.in not found: 3(NXDOMAIN)
- Owner
Yes - the NS change hasn't reflected completely yet. Eventhough at the domain registrar it shows the new namservers.

$ host camp.fsf.org.in ns1.tinydns.in Using domain server: Name: ns1.tinydns.in Address: 119.81.40.70#53 Aliases: Host camp.fsf.org.in not found: 3(NXDOMAIN) $
dig -t NS fsf.org.in shows tinydns.in but it seems the sub domain entry is missing there.
- Owner
Just recompiled the DNS records. It resolves fine now. I must have made a mistake.
- Author
@abhas thanks, I can confirm, it is working now.
