@pravi Any response from FTP masters (or upstream) ?
By Praveen Arimbrathodiyil on 2015-12-07T16:55:33.023Z
I have asked upstream and replied to ftp masters. I think it is a bit over reaction to reject an official github software when LICENSE clearly states (C) GitHub.

It's rejected due to copyright ambiguity.

It is building fine after updating pbuilder. we build only for ruby 2.2 now.
@debku can you push tags? git push --tags (remove the debian/* tag is present first)

04:06 < j4v4m4n> anyone knows why ruby-re2 has native extensions only for 2.2?
04:22 < zeha> most packages should have 2.2 only
04:22 < zeha> by now
04:33 < j4v4m4n> zeha: ok but then why is tests being run for 2.1?
04:33 < zeha> do you have an old pbuilder?
04:33 < zeha> with an old gem2deb
04:33 < zeha> or old ruby-defaults
04:33 < j4v4m4n> zeha: no I just did pbuilder update
04:34 < j4v4m4n> zeha: bsc and devbi also got build failures
04:34 < j4v4m4n> zeha: can you build ruby-email-reply-parser from git?
04:35 < zeha> sorry, am at a customer site, can't look
04:38 < j4v4m4n> zeha: ok

@balasankarc @debku I found out the issue, it works with ruby2.2 because re2 gem is available only for ruby 2.2.
$ gem which re2
/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/ruby/vendor_ruby/2.2.0/re2.so
pravi@pirate:~/forge/debian/git/pkg-ruby-extras/ruby-email-reply-parser$ ls /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/ruby/vendor_ruby/2.2.0/re2.so
/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/ruby/vendor_ruby/2.2.0/re2.so
pravi@pirate:~/forge/debian/git/pkg-ruby-extras/ruby-email-reply-parser$ ls /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/ruby/vendor_ruby/2.1.0/re2.so

When I did a trial build of the package on sbuild, I got some timeout error with tests. @debku were you able to build it in pbuilder/sbuild ?
By Abhijith PA on 2015-11-10T12:11:42.552Z
@balasankarc ,It was successful. Now it is failing . [I built with pbuilder.]

@debku @balasankarc good idea to ask upstream for help?
